What things cost, with nothing hidden.
For retirees choosing where to live, abroad or in another US state. The whole almanac is free to read. You pay only when you want it applied to your situation — a shortlist ranked against your budget, or the practical help you need after you land.
Reports and subscriptions go on sale shortly, as soon as billing is available.

Once you have moved — the resident plans Coming
Different product, same account. This is where your own deadline calendar and one-tap contact with the professionals in your town will live.
- Everything in Mover, the professionals of the town you live in included
- Your dates, renewals and escalating reminders
- One-tap call, WhatsApp, email and scheduling
- Introduction requests, consented one at a time
- Everything in monthly
- Three months free against the monthly rate
- Your Mover payments credited once, on conversion
- Everything in annual
- Household and multi-town personalization, with the professionals of both towns
- Priority human support
- No consultations, no priority introductions
🔴 Premium buys personalization and support, never queue-jumping. Introductions are consented one at a time by the professional, so no plan can buy priority access to a person. 📌 A Founder rate of USD $45/year, locked for life, exists by invitation only — offered to the first year-round residents in each town, because they are the people who write the first reviews.
What the subscription becomes after you move
- While you are deciding — unlimited personalized reports of up to six places each, re-run as your budget, health or family situation changes.
- Once you have moved — the same plan turns into the resident portal: your renewal dates, your predial and residency deadlines, escalating reminders, and one-tap contact with the professionals in your town.
- What stays free either way — the civic contacts (police, hospitals, utilities, consulates) in every country and town, and the general obligation calendar, both coming. The professionals of the town you choose come with the subscription.

Questions people ask before paying
Why is the site free if the reports are not?
The almanac itself is the product's proof. Every figure, source and date is public so you can judge whether we are worth paying — and so the comparison pages are useful to someone who never pays us anything. What you buy is the work of applying all of it to your specific budget and circumstances, which is the part that cannot be a public page.
Is the single report a good deal next to the Mover plan?
It is, if you want one answer and no ongoing relationship. USD $49 buys a report you keep. Ten months of Mover costs the same and includes unlimited re-runs — so if you expect your plans to change, or you are more than a few months from deciding, Mover is the better buy. We list both because those are genuinely different situations, not because one is a decoy.
What happens to my Mover subscription when I actually move?
It converts to the resident plan and you get a one-time credit for what you have already paid. It is a credit, not a permanent discount — everyone pays the same resident price from then on, which is what keeps the Founder rate meaningful for the people who hold it.
What happens if my plans change after I buy?
On the subscription you re-run the report as often as you like — a change in your monthly budget can move places onto your list and others off it. On a single report you would need to buy again, which is the main reason we point most people at the subscription.
Do I need a card to create an account?
No. The free account needs an email address and a username. We do not ask for your real name, and we never store your card or bank details: all payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor — how Stripe keeps card details secure (opens in a new tab).
Will professionals in the directory contact me?
Only when you ask for that specific introduction, and only for that one. We never hand a professional a list of members — consent is per introduction, every time.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time. You keep any report you have already downloaded — the PDF is yours.
Read one before you buy one.
The full sample report is free to open — including the page that lists what it refuses to compare, and why. It is the fastest way to judge whether a report is worth paying for.
